meet ERIN ROUTLY
my story
I have made healing arts my life’s work since 2000, when I graduated from the Canadian Acupressure College, specializing in Shiatsu. While devoting my practice to the clients at the Vida Spa at the Fairmont Chateau Whistler, I met my mentor Colleen Fraser at Whistler Healing Arts, who urged me to deepen my skills and learning.
Since 2015 my primary approach to healing others has been through registered massage therapy from my practice in North Vancouver, BC. Helping my clients to alleviate pain and injury in their physical bodies is a responsibility I feel honoured to offer.
Throughout my lifetime I have held a deep connection to music. I learned to play the flute as a child, and cultivated my singing voice as well. I have always known that music and sound has been a path for healing and solace.
In 2011 I experienced my first sound healing ritual with Matthew Kocel. From the moment I lay down on my mat, and felt that first expansive vibration of the singing bowl, I knew that I had uncovered another manifestation of my healer archetype.
I studied sound healing in the Mesa tradition as an apprentice with Jhaimy Alvarez-Acosta, Traditional Andean Curendero and Wisdom Keeper, and founder of Children of the 7 Rays.
I am also trained in reiki and craniosacral therapy. Together with massage therapy and sound healing, I feel that I possess the tools to invite profound healing to others in body, mind, and spirit.
I am Erin Routly.
I am an alchemist of healing.
I believe that we each have the capacity to be complicit in our own healing, and I have dedicated my career to guiding others towards wellness. We often prioritize healing our physical bodies, but I believe we must also commit to healing our minds and spirits in order to be fully well. Integrating a variety of modalities to address the wholeness of the healing journey is a ritual in alchemy.
